Join us for The Diplomat Forum discussion with Ambassador of Mozambique to the U.S., Amb. Carlos dos Santos on April 5 at 5 pm in-person at the brand new global headquarters of Thunderbird School of Global Management in downtown Phoenix. Following the program, you are invited to stay for an evening of music, art, food and fun featuring Africa as part of Thunderbird School of Global Management's Grand Opening and 75th Anniversary Global Reunion. Regional food and beverages will be available for purchase. This program will also be broadcast live on Zoom all over the world. This is a free program.

Ambassador Carlos dos Santos
Ambassador of Mozambique to the U.S.
Ambassador Carlos Dos Santos most recently served as High Commissioner to the United Kingdom (2011-2015) where he was voted "Best Diplomat of the Year" (2013). Prior to that, he served as Ambassador of Mozambique to Germany (2006-2011). His long and distinguished career includes serving as Director for Europe and the Americas at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2005-2006), Advisor to the President (2003- 2005) and Permanent Representative to the United Nations (1996-2002). He was the President's Private Secretary (1992-1996), Chief of Cabinet of the Minster of Foreign Affairs (1991-1992) and Head of the Political Department of the Africa and Middle East Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Ambassador Dos Santos holds a Master's Degree in International Relations from the University of Zimbabwe and a Master's of Business Administration from Baruch College, City University of New York. He speaks Portuguese, English, Spanish and Ronga. Ambassador Dos Santos is married and the proud father of three children.
