The Sedona Forum 2022: Strategic Competition

  • 28 Apr 2022

  • Virtual Event

As the McCain Institute’s signature annual event, the Sedona Forum, provides a unique opportunity for United States and world leaders to have informal, face-to-face discussions about real solutions to the problems facing our world today. It is held each spring in the red rock country of Sedona, Ariz., to bring about positive change in national and world affairs.

For the first time, the 2022 Sedona Forum will take place both virtually and in-person, giving friends of the McCain Institute a front-row seat to conversations about the world’s most pressing issues from high-level panels featuring top experts and policymakers from around the world and on both sides of the aisle. With the theme of “Strategic Competition,” we invite friends to join for the virtual panels starting Thursday, April 28.

The world feels off its axis without Senator McCain’s voice guiding us toward “another, better world.” Still, the ideas and causes he dedicated his life to serving remain worthy of our own dedication and service. The attention we give them during the Sedona Forum will honor his legacy and prepare us for the fights ahead to defend our common ideals in causes greater than ourselves. The 2022 Sedona Forum will focus strongly on Russia’s assault on Ukraine and China’s work to combat democracy.

The Washington Post will serve as the Forum’s media partner this year.

The full 2022 agenda will be posted shortly.
