About the Event
In a world where another disastrous war might begin in Ukraine, where competition with China is shaping our economy, where cyberattacks can hit us at home, and where this pandemic just won’t quit, security is increasingly local. That means that crises can start anywhere, and their impacts can be felt everywhere.
The United States needs innovative ideas and the help of its allies in NATO if it is to navigate these and other security challenges. The strength of America’s leadership comes from its people—so the US will also need a better understanding of what matters to Americans across the country if it is to lead successfully.
To discuss these issues and more, the conference will feature a fireside chat with Rep. Ruben Gallego on competition with China and Russia as well as several panel discussions with NATO officials and young community leaders on NATO’s value to the United States and how it can be more relevant to the lives of Americans. This will be followed by a special conversation entirely in Spanish about a role for American communities of color in NATO.
For the opportunity to share your thoughts on your priorities for US engagement in the world and to hear about the increased role NATO could play in protecting Americans’ interests around the world, please join us in-person at the Beus Center in Phoenix. A reception following the event will allow for more interaction with the speakers and fellow attendees.
The full agenda is forthcoming. Register now by filling out the registration form below. Participants will be required to wear a mask and socially distance at the conference.
