Student Fellows Program

PCFR’s Student Fellows (PSF) Program is longstanding, highly competitive and offers just three students a year the incredible opportunity to participate in PCFR events free of charge for that year. The program is designed to expose graduate students who are focused on working with international businesses and industries and are aligned with the mission and programs of PCFR who hope to stay in the Metro Phoenix area following completion of their degree. Fellows are drawn from a pool of highly qualified applicants from universities in the Phoenix area to be a part of this special opportunity. Selections are made based on past international experience and expected future leadership in international affairs or business related to Arizona.

Student Fellows Benefits

  • Regular interaction with PCFR members, including meeting potential mentors with significant international experience
  • The chance to sit at the head table during events for direct access to the guest of honor
  • Connection to the PCFR Board of Directors and the opportunity to make lasting connections

Students who hope to become fellows are encouraged to engage with PCFR by attending events at the student rate and by working with their PCFR representatives at their home institution. If selected, PCFR Fellows are highly encouraged to reach out to fellow PSF’s while participating.

Student Fellows Expectations

  • Contribute to the mission of PCFR.
  • Participate in meetings. At each meeting, a fellow will be selected to sit at the head table, interact with our featured guest, and following the event, provide a summary of the evening and related discussion.
  • Actively contribute to a deliverable item, as headed by the PSF coordinator, that contributes to the mission of PCFR. Projects will be briefed to the PCFR Board at the completion of the event season.
  • Stay in touch between meetings.  You are expected to stay in contact with the PSF coordinator between and at meetings.
  • Proactively engage in the membership, including, but not limited to:
  • Introducing yourself to the membership at a meeting during the season.
  • Mix and mingle with the members.
  • Reach out to other members that may be of interest to you and your major.
  • Communicate to the PSF coordinator what your interests are, and how we can help you achieve your goals.
  • Have a high probability of staying Phoenix and look to become an associate member upon completion of your studies.
  • Give feedback on ways the program can be improved.
